Robinho: “I am better than Ronaldo”

On the last day of the summer transfer window, Manchester City FC landed Robinho — the player that they thought will turn around their way of playing. It was a mega-money deal, where both Robinho and Real Madrid (his former club) received enormous amounts of money from the rich owners of Manchester City FC. The season didn’t start so good for Robinho, as he had to take some time to adapt to England, and to improve his fitness level. However, he kept getting better every weekend, and he’s performed well so far.

He gave an interview yesterday, and the journalists asked him about his departure from Real Madrid. “I just couldn’t see myself in Real Madrid. I couldn’t play the way I want to place, I didn’t have the necessary space,” said Robinho. When asked about Cristiano Ronaldo and all the awards that he won this year, Robinho responded: “Cristiano Ronaldo is a great player and he deserves every award that he’s gotten. But I am just as good as him, at least.”
