It is official. Carlos Tevez from Manchester United, Emmanuel Adebayor from Arsenal and Roque Santa Cruz from Blackburn are officially players of Manchester City FC. They have all signed deals in the last couple of days, and the majority of them will be among the most paid players in the club.

We can’t help but notice that all that’s Manchester City doing is bringing attacking players. That would be totally okay if they had a strong midfield and defensive lines. However, that’s not the case. Sometimes it seems that Mark Hughes doesn’t know what he’s doing. I understand that the club officials want to bring in big names to make the club more recognizable on an international level; however, that’s not the right way to go. Bringing in 3 attackers, and not bringing defensive or midfield players is a mistake, having in mind that the latter two lines of the squad aren’t that good. On the other hand, the attacking line was the strongest line of the team in the past season, but most of the money is spent on bringing attackers.

So, inevitable is the question whether MCFC will be able to compete with the leading teams like Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal? Will it make it to secure a place in the Champions League this season? It will be hard. The rivals are very strong — in every line of the squad. Let’s hope that Hughes has an idea, and that he’s not just bringing in players for no purpose.

Who can forget all those golden years of Ronaldinho that he spent in Barcelona? He was, without any doubt, the best player in the world. On the wings of Ronaldinho, Barcelona conquered Europe and won the Champions League in 2006. However, after that, his form began to get worse. The next two seasons weren’t good for him at all, and that reflected on Barcelona who didn’t win a trophy during those years.
In 2008, AC Milan bought Ronaldinho for 21 million euro, thus hoping that his form will improve and that he will be the same Ronaldinho again. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

When he just arrived to Milan, he was playing in the first team. However, after picking up some injuries (allegedly), Anceloti wasn’t using him much. Lately, he hasn’t been playing a lot — he usually gets in the game in the second half.

Despite all that, Manchester City FC is looking to land Ronaldinho. After failing to bring Kaka and Messi, and still wanting to make a sensational signing, they turned to Ronaldinho. They hope that he can recover, and that the English style of playing will motivate him.
They are prepared to pay somewhere between 20 and 30 million euro, and Milan seems to be more than willing to accept that kind of money.

We will see what happens at the end of the season.

Valencia has serious financial problems — and they must sell their players and assets in order to “survive” the crisis they fell into. Of course, their most valuable player is David Villa.

English press claims that Manchester City FC has already contacted Valencia’s representatives in order to start the negotiations. The price tag for Villa will be somewhere between 40-60 million euro, and supposedly, Manchester City is ready to pay that amount of money.

However, Villa has said that he won’t just look at the money when choosing a club. He said that he wants to move to a more reputable club, like Barcelona.

British media has announced that the famous FC Barcelona’s attacker Thierry Henry, who has spent many years in England playing for Arsenal, is coming to Manchester City FC at the end of the season. Reports claim that the Blues are ready to offer 11 million euro for him, and they think that Barcelona will let him go.

Henry left Arsenal for Barcelona for 28 million euro two years ago, and it seems unlikely that Barcelona will let him go for 11 million. However, since Manchester City bosses aren’t really having problems with money, that bid could be increased.

The Blues see Henry as a strong signing and think that he would bring in more marketing flow — not money wise necessarily, but they want to make him an icon of the club. Henry has repeated many times that he would like to end his career in Barcelona… However, if the right offer comes, he might go back in England. After all, his daughter is still there with her mommy, Henry’s ex-wife.

The owner of Man City FC, Al-Fahim, has said that he admires the playing style of the Argentinian, and would love to see him playing on Eastlands.

However, Messi has often said that he will never leave Barcelona because they gave him everything, ever he was 12 years old. We’ll see what happens in the future.

The first half was nothing spectacular. Both teams were trying to break the opponents’ defense, but couldn’t. However, in 73rd minute, the Man City scoring machine, Craig Bellamy, scored for 1-0. Just after 7 minutes, he scored one more goal and it was 2-0. Copenhagen FC managed to score one goal in the 90th minute — and the final result was 2-1.

Manchester City FC went to the next level in the UEFA Cup. Go Man City!

“This is the first time I hear that,” said Craig Bellamy. “There is no row. The papers are making it all up. That’s why I’m in court with a lot of them, because they’re lying all the time.”

Other players have also denied that there are problems in relations between them and Robinho. After all, it seems that it’s only media speculation.
